Pay types
System Pay Types are supplied automatically. In most setups this page is for reference only, and administrators should make no changes.
No setup required for ordinary timeWhen overtime allocation is not configured, completed punch time is automatically assigned to the active Normal Time (NT) system type. You do not need to create, edit or select a Pay Type for every employee.
System and custom types
- System types cover Regular, Overtime, Leave, Public Holiday and common Allowances.
- Create a custom type only for a company-specific earning, leave component or allowance.
- Customise name, paid status, rate factor and active status; protected system code and category remain stable.
When selection is required
- Enabling overtime calculation requires a Regular and Overtime Pay Type in the Pay Group.
- Leave requests select an active Leave type; schedule allowance rules select an active Allowance type.
- Public-holiday calculation uses the relevant active system types automatically.
Payroll export mapping
- Mappings are configured per payroll format under Company, not on the Pay Type screen.
- System types follow format defaults until explicitly overridden.
- Custom types require an export mapping before they can be included; test a representative period before production export.
