Staff rostering NZ

Build the roster once, then use it throughout the workday.

EasyClock staff rostering gives New Zealand businesses a practical employee-and-date schedule board, reusable shift templates and published shifts that flow into attendance and timesheets.

Plan in context

An employee board built around dates, not rows of codes.

Create a draft schedule for the whole company or an organisation unit, then add shifts to the employee and date where they belong. Reusable templates carry the usual timezone, start, finish, site and optional allowance rules.

Drafts remain editable while managers prepare the roster. Publishing locks the operational schedule and makes its shifts available to attendance, leave and timesheet workflows.

Overnight shifts

Templates can explicitly cross midnight, keeping local wall-clock times clear across business dates and daylight-saving changes.

Overlap protection

EasyClock checks employee shift times before publication, helping prevent two active shifts from occupying the same time window.

Repeating schedules

Eligible Pro schedules can automatically create and publish the next period two days before the current period ends, with safe startup and hourly retries.

From plan to attendance

The roster becomes useful data, not a separate calendar.

Timesheet comparison

Published shifts appear beside work sessions on the employee's timesheet.

Attendance exceptions

Scheduled start and finish times provide context for late, early and absent conditions.

Leave by shift

Configured leave workflows can use scheduled duration for the relevant business date.
